Cell phones are great, but it seems that some people make terrible use of them. On my list are the following two strangers whom I have actually run across: (1) Cell phone rings while the man is walking down a flight of subway stairs with many people behind him. He answers the phone, but apparently can't talk and walk at the same time--he stops right at the center step and just stands there talking on his phone while people on the stairs behind him are blocked from walking down! It took several shouts from the people behind him (one of them me) before he realized he had to move on; (2)In a public bathroom in a store: a young woman walks in, absorbed in cell phone conversation and, without stopping her talk, she enters the stall telling her friend "...and now I'm walking into the toilet..." She came out of the stall, still talking and didn't stop to wash her hands, probably because that would've meant putting the phone down: "...yea, well I'm leaving the toilet now..." she continued on and on (one wonders how she was able to complete "her business" with phone in hand).
