1) EliAnswers
Eli Lilly & Co. offers seniors a 30-day supply
of medication for $12. Some of the products offers are Evista, Humulin,
Humalog, Prozac and Zyprexa.
Requirements: You are enrolled in Medicare; you
have no other prescription drug coverage; your income is less than $24,000 for
couples or less than $18,000 for individuals.

of 900 medications--then click the link to go to the pharmaceutical company's
site for details about their discount program.
3) Share Card
Pfizer & Co. provides a month's supply of
medication to eligible seniors at $15 per prescription.
Eligibility: You must be enrolled in Medicare;
have no other prescription drug coverage; and your income must be either less
than $18,000 for individuals or less than $24,000 for couples.

4) Together RX
The following pharmaceutical companies participate in
this plan: Abbott, Astra-Zeneca, Aventis, Bristol-Myers, Squibb,
GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, and Novartis.
The card offers approximately 20-40% off regular
prices. A complete list of available prescriptions is available online (see
"How to apply" below).
Requirements: You must be a Medicare enrollee;
your income should be under $38,000 for couples or $28,000 for individuals; you
have no other prescription drug plan.

5) EPIC (New York State only)
Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage (EPIC)
provides savings of up to 70% on annual drug costs. Almost all prescription
medicines are covered plus insulin and insulin syringes.
Eligbility: You must be a resident of New York
State; you must be 65 years of age or older; you cannot be receiving full
Medicaid coverage; you cannot have any prescription insurance that povides
better coverage than EPIC; single seniors' annual income can't be more than
$35,000, married couples' joint income cannot exceed $50,000.
